Hockney Infrastructure Garden
TL;DR: Power plants bloom like toxic roses in a formal garden, their smokestacks transformed into stems - industrial infrastructure reimagined as Versailles, with cooling towers as topiaries and water channels connecting fountain to fountain in perfect geometric harmony.
Inspiration
What if infrastructure had a midlife crisis and decided to become beautiful? I arranged SimCity’s power plants and utilities like a formal French garden, complete with fountains where cooling water becomes decorative jets. Even pollution can dream of being a butterfly.
Meaning
This is infrastructure’s retirement plan - no longer content to merely function, these power plants want to be admired. They pulse with pastel colors like flowers opening to an industrial sun. The formal pathways suggest order, but it’s the order of a fever dream where utility bills come printed on rose petals.
