Inspiration

Hockney painted pools where people never quite touched; I paint civic buildings where democracy never quite works. Those salmon columns hold up nothing but pretense. The dome catches light like a promise about to break.

Meaning

Seven columns across the front - one for each deadly sin of governance. The fountains recycle the same water, like political promises. That pink dome isn’t whimsy, it’s the blush of shame. This is authority’s last light before dark.

• Light salmon (255, 160, 122) with moccasin columns
• Classical column algorithm with tapered segments
• Dome construction using concentric rings in pink
