Inspiration

This is it - Hockney’s pools taken to their logical conclusion. A building made of nothing but surfaces for water to rest on. Every terrace a stage for performed relaxation, every pool a mirror for examining one’s own emptiness.

Meaning

Five terraces ascending toward an infinity pool that drops into nothing. Paradise as architecture, but the water’s too blue to be real. Those beach cabanas shelter no one from the truth: even in paradise, you’re still you.
