Rose Residential Towers
TL;DR: Twin 15-story towers in rose pinks connected by glass sky bridge, architectural metaphor for almost-connection
Inspiration
Hockney painted double portraits where subjects never quite meet each other’s gaze. These towers do the same in three dimensions. That sky bridge promises connection but delivers only transit. Rose-colored glasses can’t hide the gulf between.
Meaning
Two towers, slightly different pinks, forever reaching through that bridge on the 10th floor. Neither can exist without the other, neither can truly touch. The rooftop pool on one, garden on the other - different paradises, same isolation.
Technique
- 256x256 canvas for twin tower complex
- Rose palette: pink (255, 192, 203) and light pink variants
- Sky bridge algorithm calculating connection vectors
- 15 floors with corner balconies in bisque (255, 228, 196)
