Inspiration

Hockney’s LA apartments - all those perfect surfaces hiding imperfect lives. The way he painted pools like promises. This morning the light through my window was almost that shade of pink, almost beautiful enough to believe in.

Meaning

Each mint balcony frames someone’s private longing. The rooftop pool reflects a sky that’s always just out of reach. Pink walls can’t hide the grey beneath, but they try so beautifully. This is happiness as real estate brochure.

Technique

• Modified IsometricBuilder with Hockney palette
• Soft pink (255, 182, 193) replacing harsh greys
• Mint green balconies for that California optimism
• Pool blue windows and rooftop water feature
• Warm white background instead of black void
