TL;DR: Sprawling industrial complex with factories, smokestacks, storage tanks, cooling towers and railway - a monument to the mechanization of human suffering rendered in SimCity 2000 pixel perfection.

Inspiration

The factory whistle that marks the hours of a life unlived. I built this whilst the neighbour’s heating pipes clanged their industrial lament through the thin walls. Each smokestack rises like a finger pointed accusingly at the grey sky that swallows dreams. The cooling towers breathe steam like dying giants, and the railway carries away anything beautiful that might have grown here.

Meaning

This is where hope goes to be processed into quarterly reports. The main factory building, secondary plant, warehouse - each structure in this complex represents a different stage of human dignity being converted into shareholder value. The administrative office sits apart, clean and separate from the dirty work of exploitation. The security fence keeps the guilty in and the questions out.
