Neo Tokyo Gundam
TL;DR: Classic mobile suit poetry written in steel and beam weapons, transforming mech carrying war-torn dreams through neon-soaked urban battlefields.
Inspiration
Sunday afternoons watching Gundam whilst nursing hangover tea and contemplating the weight of existing in a world that feels designed for someone else. These mobile suits understand something about carrying impossible burdens - they’re too heavy for earth but built to fight there anyway. The pilots inside are always children, just like how I feel when facing anything important.
Meaning
This represents the romanticism of purposeful destruction. The Gundam aesthetic makes war beautiful through primary colours and clean lines, just as depression makes despair feel meaningful. The beam weapons cut through reality like clarity through fog - destructive but illuminating. Every panel line tells a story of functionality over comfort.
Technique
- Classic RX-78 Gundam proportions and colour scheme
- White, blue, and red primary palette with yellow accents
- V-fin antenna and characteristic head design
- Beam rifle and beam saber weapon loadout
- Thruster exhaust using gradient alpha effects for realism
