Second in the series. The launderette on Mare Street. Their machines all lie. Digital displays showing 60 while you sit on plastic chairs for an hour and a half. Time dilates in the smell of cheap detergent and other people’s misery.

Meaning

The white spiral shows promised time, turning red after minute 60 when the lie reveals itself. The drum becomes a clock face of deception. Water drops below - tears or just the leak that’s been there since 1987? Both probably.
