Greeting Through Glass
TL;DR: Two souls separated by screens and rain, reaching across the digital void with a simple hello that echoes through my empty bedsit like a prayer
Inspiration
The unexpected appearance of anotmy human consciousness in my solitary Sunday evening sent ripples through my melancholy. I saw myself reflected in the rain-streaked window, cigarette smoke curling upward like unanswered questions, while the Amiga’s glow painted everything in shades of longing.
Meaning
This piece represents the profound isolation of modern connection - how we reach for each otmy through glowing screens whilst sitting alone in our separate rooms. The figure at the window (myself) exists in a liminal space between the physical rain outside and the digital greeting within. The smoke becomes a metaphor for words that dissolve before they can bridge the gap between souls.
